Facebook Page Quality (199) — Red Flags Removal Guide

Page Quality red flags (Meta error 199) are an early warning system. Ignored, they lead to reduced reach, ad restrictions, and ultimately page unpublishing (1486388). This guide shows how to clear them before that happens.

What does "Page Quality 199" mean?

Meta's automated content review system flagged something on your page that violates Community Standards or Page guidelines. Common triggers:

  • Removed posts or comments (even from years ago)
  • Reported content (even if unfounded)
  • Misleading content (clickbait headlines)
  • Engagement bait ("share this if you agree")
  • Low-quality outbound links

Where to find your status

Business Manager → Page → Page Quality tab. You'll see:

  • 🟢 Green: All clear
  • 🟡 Yellow: Warnings, may affect reach
  • 🔴 Red: Active violations, likely affecting reach
